School of Molecular
and Theoretical Biology

Call for applications to the SMTB-2023 closed

The admission call to the School of Molecular and Theoretical Biology 2023 is now closed. We will do everything we can to organize the SMTB season offline and to welcome all accepted students regardless of the place of their residence. We would like to avoid holding SMTB online and are working on several possible locations for SMTB-2023. For now we can only share preliminary information about the location and the dates of the school. Most likely SMTB-2023 will take place at the University of Tartu in Estonia at the end of July - August 2023. There is a chance that we will run two editions of the School at two different locations. The final decision, and the exact dates for the school, will be announced at the end of April and will be communicated to the accepted students and their parents.

For this call we accepted applications in Russian and English from students of any nationality that have not yet begun their studies at the University. Evaluation of received applications will take approximately two months. Some applicants may be invited by the Admission Committee to an additional video call or phone interview.

SMTB is generously supported by the Zimin Foundation.

The SMTB Admission Committee thanks everyone who applied this year. We are also grateful to everyone who helped spread the word about the School and the ongoing call.

The School of Molecular and Theoretical Biology does not discriminate, in the admission process or otherwise, on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, marital status, age, sexual orientation, disability or any other potentially discriminatory factors or circumstances.
